A few days late, I know, but :-

Thank-you Calamity James for proving once and for all that you are always just a split second from another disaster

This one cost your team a place in Europe and the revenue that could have been used to replace you

Pompey fans will point to the pen save (and others ?) as a defence but how can the back four trust a guy that can do THAT in that situation ?

Great shot-stopper or not, when one of your schoolboy errors costs your team mates, club and fans so dear - it's time for the door.

And let's not kid ourselves that this was the same as Jagielka's error which was down to him getting 'blind-spotted', Jamo's error was dwn to pass-poor judgement and execution and is not worthy of a 38 year old or England's supposed no1.

Send off the clowns !!

I always thought that if he was everything he should be - he'd still be at Liverpool

Ha Ha - surely that would make his thumbs bigger and make catching the ball EASIER !

I assume he's on the Wii now- so any sign of his brain getting a good workout ? (that's where he is lacking)

his hand to eye co-ordination was much better on duckhunt than with a football

He has still been one of the best keepers in the league over the past couple of seasons. I hear Redknapp might be after taking him to Spurs in January. :p

OK - whatever 'best' is - I can recall aseries of howlers, not all punished, to offset his shot-stopping)

However, would you want to drive a flash car whose steering and brakes were likely to completely fail at any moment, or a fairly flash car that was totally mecahnaically sound ?

He's still good enough for a team like Portsmouth though and he saved them more points than he lost them I reckon.

Must be doing something right for Capello to pick him as number 1 when he wasn't when he was appointed.
