I cast your minds back to what ronaldinho did to Khalid Boulahrouz in the CL match against chelsea.. The one that led to Eidurs goal or the goal he scored himself (the one that not one chelsea player incl the goalie had a clue was going in)

all 3 playing wide but ronaldo and robinho in a 4-4-2 position and messi in 4-3-3 position hence making him a supoorting striker.
He is an attacking player but not a striker

Berbatov, Rooney, Henry of old, Ibra, Eto'o of old, RVP (his technical ability is outrageous).
Ok i think we need to review the definition of the word skill in footballing terminology...

I think we would all agree that the stuff ronaldo, ronaldinho etc (not strikers) do with the ball (flicks, step overs, ball control, outrageous back heels etc) is pretty amazing and would come under skillful right...

Skill on this thread is not really in reference to the ability to score goals but the ability to excite with a single touch or the ability to leave players for dead (not essentially with speed or whilst running)

Got that IRIR??? Now how about another list
Skill - passing execution, technique, trickery, unpredictability, composure, touch, vision etc...all come under skill, so thanks for the offer, but I'd rather stick with my original choices.

Oh, and I don't need lecturing from someone who believes in 'once world class, always world class'
Simmer...
