Even Cech not being what he use to be is still better than Almunia and any of the rest of the top 4 keepers imo.

Yeh, I agree, he definitely isnt in the league of Cech but I think he is better than Reina. I think Reina is reliable but he isn't as good as Almunia because Almunia can deal with more different situations effectively, where as Reina isn't as versatile.
Van der Sar is definitely not what he used to be, around the same as Al at the minute.

almunia has been good but can't work out that comment of being in better form than the other keepers in the top 4. Cech even though he hasn't been at his best is still one of the best around, his "poor form" is better than most keepers top form. Reina until saturday hadn't let in a goal in hours of football I believe.
you dont have to work it out, its from cesc11

Amazing Almunia? Don't make me laugh. He is as average a keeper as you will find. Cost us points against Fulham, Hull, and Spurs. Also was at fault for Agbonlahor's goal at the Emirates. Has got to be the worst keeper I have ever seen covering the near post.

Almunia has never had a CB partnership like Riena, Cech and VDS have had so its our defence we need to improve before the keeper. Saying that Djourou has been fantastic in the last 2 games aggainst Wigan and Chelsea. He has the most to do out of all the keepers so he might make the most saves but the other keepers can only save what other teams create so its hard to say.

reina's main weakness in past season was on crosses and he seems to have pretty much sorted that one out now. I can't help but think that you haven't seen much of Reina if you believe him not to be versatile, he's been in fantastic form dealing with near on everything thrown at him

 Gallas was at fault for Fulham and Hull.

Wrong. It was poor marking, but Almunia should have come and claimed. The one vs Fulham was literally in the 6 yard box. No reason for him not to come and claim...

I dont think Cech is what he used to be. Almunia has won us at least 4 or 5 games this season. He does things that Jens never did, the main thing being that he knows how to come out and smother a shot from close range to the man striking the ball.
Imo You shouldnt even be comparing Lehmann and Almunia....

Almunia aint got nuthin on jens. You seem to have forgotten how good he was cesc... Cant see any reason for comparison.

I was 100% correct actually Gallas lost his man on both occasions thats not Almunias fault.

Yes Lehmann was a fantastic keeper, Almunia can be too. Is this forums aim to bring every player down who gets a mention?
I think Almunia has been in fantastic form.

Almunia should be coming for those. The keeper is the most important player on defending set pieces. Had Lehmann still been here, we wouldn't have lost to Fulham or Hull.

Almunia was questionable against Stoke too...

Almunia is good and I'm glad Arsenal fans are happy with him.

But I wouldn't swap Reina for any other keeper in the Premiership.
