Juande Ramos confirmed as new Real boss

Real Madrid have confirmed coach Bernd Schuster has been sacked and replaced by former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos.

A press conference had been called for 2.30pm local time, with Ramos named as Madrid's new coach in time to take training later on Tuesday.

Schuster's statement that Los Merengues had no chance of winning at Barcelona on Saturday did not go down well with the Bernabeu hierarchy and led to a clamour for him to go.

Madrid director of sport, Predrag Mijatovic, told a press conference: "We spoke to Schuster this morning about all the difficulties over the past few months.

"We came to the mutual agreement to take this decision. He took the decision well.

Will Real go for Capel? They need a winger.

 Of course he did, he was glad to get out of there.

Ramos though. :S Might do a bit better in the Champpions League but no chance in the league I don't think.

He will do much better in the League. Sevilla played some excellent stuff under him and he got them into the CL.

They won't get past the last 16 imo. Cos I think they'll finish 2nd and a decent team will show them up.

A few raids of Sevilla in Jan might have an affect tho? Someone mentioned Capel, I think he would be a top buy. Who's the DM there MT I forget?

Duscher/Romaric. Both of which signed in the summer so I can't see them leaving. they'll probably get Silva for LW (which btw Guillem said utd and real are interested in)

Rotated with the other two. Ramos won't be in charge of transfers so I don't think there'll be a raid on Sevilla.

Yes, unfortunatly.

They were 2 pts off the title when he was there.... They were playing against lesser opposition in that. The players he has at his disposal now aren't good enough to go far in the CL. But he'll get them playing class football.

Robben is always injured, Sneijder isn't a winger, nor is VDV, Drenthe is rubbish. They're defnetly after a winger. Di Maria or Silva...
