There is no doubt that he was a great player but it has become clear that he no longer has the legs at the top level.Dont be surprised if he leaves at the end of the season

Don't think he has the brain to change his game like Scholes did either.

Ive always questioned his commitment since he left for Chelsea. Too often I seen him play hes happy to just mope about picking up his weekly pay cheque.

I agree that scholes can still influence a game more due to his vision, i do like ballack but i dont think its just about match practice but i hope he improves a little

He was disastrous last night and im glad it was evident for all to see.. So when Essien gets fit again scolari had better bench the kraut... His passing was well below par, he obviously cant tackle anymore or win balls in a 50-50, only thing he offers is an aerial threat and a good crack at a free kick. Fortunately we have quite a few players that can take free kicks and are good in the air...

Not saying they should sell him, but please please please he needs to sit on the bench and if he starts whinging, deduct his pay for 6months or loan him out to charlton

He is physically strong and very fit usually...still think he has an engine, but when that deteriorates, he's finished.

ballack is a fine cm/am- in the euro 08 he was brilliant. only a few are better in my opinion......he just come back from injuries. he lacks match sharpness and form. give him time

Ballack is one of the most overrated CMs of this generation. He is only average is almost every aspect of the game. What is he great at? Waste of space at Chelsea and once Essien is back he won't be in the team...

I agree, Essien is far better for Chelsea in that particular position.
