nope, too old and passed it, wouldn't be a good long term solution... someone like defoe or owen would fit better into their system I think |

Fook owen. World class striker no doubting that but i think theres a lil bitter taste when he left us for Madrid and hes injury prone. besides with keane and torres, i cant see 3 into 2 fitting. Heskey though as cheap buy, big strong target man which we dont have would be a decent signing imo. I dont care even if it is for half season he could have a positive impact. |

If you want to be league champions then Heskey is not the way to go. I do rate him, but he isnt going to add much to your team. |

there is no need at all, we play 1 up top away and 2 up top at home when torres is back he will be playing every game and keane will be playing the home games with him then we have gerrard as behind the front man, babel and ngog too. what we need is a right back cover for arbeloa unless darby can step up |

Dont you think as a cheap option, Heskeys fee should be small , his wages arent huge either. Who else do we have that can play the big target man upfront? im not saying hes a longterm solution but he adds something different to the attack. just that lil bit extra can often make a huge difference, even its a few points he helps us win, those few points can often be the difference in winning the league. kinda ala henrik larson type impact |

ngog, i know he isnt much now but we have to let the lad develop and we must use money in other positions. i would just love for us to sell pennant and benayoun who wants out and bring in valencia from wigan...for about 10m rb and rw are the positions we are weak in cover on |

Id like us to buy Glen johnson as a right back and keep with dossenna aurelio and insua as left back, i feel thats good enough cover there. Ngog can not be replied upon at this early stage of his pool career to shoulder such a task imo. his first touch needs working on, we cant wait for him to develop and come into the role , we would require someone for now not later. timing unfortunately would not be ideal. |

true but we got torres, babel, keane, gerrard and ngog who play as a leading and second striker some... while we play 1 up front in away games, there is no real point in bringing another striker. i think ngog can be the person to hold the ball up but he needs time. if not we can just stick keane up there with ANOTHER striker to get the best out of him so either kuyt, babel or ngog. right wing needs to be addressed |

I think babel did a decent job on the right wing. not sure why doesnt get played there more often. But to meet the immediate requirements of a target man, ngog cant do it yet, babel hasnt enough experience up front yet and certainly isnt a good as target man as Heskey. p.s Rieras got a beautiful touch What a cracking buy hes turned out to be

then what is the point of spending 21m on keane if we buy another striker.....just crazy if we buy another striker. considering, we play 1 up top most of the time and we got like 4 already lol |

Ok i see your point. But im not touting Heskey as a long term solution or for him to be played before Torres and Keane, it does however give us more option (a cheap recognised one at that)and strength in depth which all teams with serious title aspirations require imo. |

Bad move for Liverpool and a bad move for Heskey. He wouldn't want to go back IMO. Heskey still has something to offer, but he knows he's only going to be a temporary stop gap at a top 4 club. least I think he does. |
