A City delegation has been in Milan and reportedly made a bid in the region of 100m euros, with a weekly wage of £500,000 on offer for the Brazilian.

Could you blame either club or player if they accepted??

Kaka's adviser has warned Manchester City that they must prove their ambition if they want to sign the AC Milan superstar.

Widespread reports suggest Manchester City officials have travelled to Milan in a bid to broker a sensational move for the Brazil international.

Reports have claimed City are prepared to break the bank to bring Kaka to Eastlands in a world record transfer deal.

However, Kaka's spokesman Diogo Kotscho insists the player will not be swayed by money and that he will only join City if they can match his ambitions.

"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't do a matter based on money", he told Corriere dello Sport. "But to the competitiveness of the English side.

"Ricky would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself with not a winning solution."

Milan have always insisted Kaka was not for sale at any price, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to resist the mega offer from City in this month's transfer window.

A City delegation led by chief executive Garry Cook flew to Italy on Tuesday to put a £100million proposal to Milan.

Cook has now returned to Manchester and is awaiting permission to talk with Kaka.

tbh if this happens the prem need to put a wage cap on salaries, kaka needs to stay 1 season and hell be richer than pompy :S hopefully players like ronaldo, terry etc.. dont say im as important as he is i want £500,000 a week, cos no other team could give that wage

I agree 500,000 a week is beyond a joke

100,000 a week is a joke when you see so many people out of work

I think he means they need to up their performances and be in the Champions League before Kaka would even contemplate joining.

Surely £100m would be better spent strengthening a number of positions rather than just 1.

no, if they got the money why not bring in kaka

if they can convince him next season they will spend huge int he summer to get into the top 4 then he might just join

with kaka, you dont just one of the top 3 am in the world but you also get his marketing pull and his reputation to attract other world class players

"If they got the money"

You can't convince somebody to join if the club don't match your ambitions on the pitch. If they say that about spending big in the Summer he will probably say well come back to me after you have spent.

True.
