I think it should be Vidic but it will go to Ferdinand

Ferdinand for the time being then Rooney when he's older. Really don't like Giggs being captain, he's just not the type. Neville i'm not too sure about. :S

Nemanja Vidic = Fearless, never say die, never shirks a tackle and epitomises what United are all about.

Exactly, Rio all day long.

Neville is a world class captain, no doubt about that, but he's 33 and not a world class player anymore.

Your best player does not equal captain material.

Rio is captain material, communication is very important, Vidic's English is not great so English /British would be preferred (not essential but preferred).

I love Rooney and would always pick him in the team but his English is poor (er... you know, ,....like I said - even when he hasn't!) so he'd be murdered in interviews and on the pitch he needs to show more self control before you could give him the armband. He is very lucky to stay on the pitch, he gets a lot of slack re his swearing. Rooney is not ready to be a permanent captain, he may never be, but he's a great player and I'd always have him in the team.

I'd prefer to have an English captain too given the choice, I think it should always be the case with a team in the Premiership.

Rooney's English is about as good as Gerrard's. :p I don't remember Neville doing too many post match interviews tbh. :S

Always? What about Roy Keane? Patrick Viera?

Ferninand, only chosen him as I'm not sure how Vidic's communication skills are.

Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that. And when you win a championship – and we will – success isn't measured or accomplished by winning once

Keane...Irish, same difference.

I'll see your Vieira and raise you a Gerrard and Terry. :p

No point bringing up Vieira as half his team spoke French, his manager was French, and his English was far better than Vidic's.
