cattermole now plays for wigan. my mate who supports middlesbrough says they should never have sold him. digard with the right partner could make them better |

got sent off at weekend for being stupid. young french player, 22. wares the number 8 shirt for them could be promising but keeps having a different CM partner each game. think micheal johnson from city/huddlestone from spurs would be a good partner for him |

Not sure if i've seen him tbh. He didn't stand out if I have. ![]() lol Definitely not Huddlestone. Johnson would be good but he's injured and not sure City would sell. I heard Downing had played in the middle a couple of times.

downing was played just off the striker as a midfield 5. Huddlestone's passing and vision is really good. hes also good defensively. it would suit them better to have him sitting about the half way line rather than bombing up and down the pitch. if the sell downing to spurs id say maybe take him plus £10m. then they can strengthen the squad depth with the cash |

lol Huddlestone is poor, he's terrible defensively and so slow. I think you are the first person i've met that rates him. ![]() They'd be much better off taking Jenas or Zokora or somebody like that if they do a swap with Spurs. |

huddlestone is slow which is his only disadvantage. very good with both feet when passing the ball though u would need to play a holding mid with him |

I agree Huddlestone is a good player he has a great range of passing also. Adam Johnson seems to be coming off the bench. When I watched them play us he was probably their best player. Tuncay hasn't been playing as well as he did at the start of the season. Wheater doesn't seem to be starting either him and Huth are easily their best CB's. If they play those two from the start it would be an improvement.

I agree but they can't play those two really....Pogatetz is their captain. ![]() A great range of overhit passing if you ask me.

Gibson is a nice chairman, Southgate is a nice manager, Downing seems a nice player too - problem is nice guys don't win in football. They've no agression in midfield or upfront, I think they'll continue to struggle this season |

i think you hit the nail on the head there, boros problem of putting in a good performance against a top 4 team and then blowing it against a bottom half strugglers has been prominent since the days of bryan robson |
