Not perturbed by the rejection, Arsene Wenger returned to the table with a slightly improved offer of £12 million, but again Zenit have refused to do business. Arshavin's spokesperson, Andrei Petrov, claimed that the revised offer was "insufficient," and went on to tell The Independent: "We don't think £12m is enough for this player. We are not giving figures. But a sum of more like £20m would be good for Zenit." There has been increasing speculation today regarding Manchester City's readiness to hijack the deal. If reports are to be believed (Sky Sports) then the player has been offered to the mega rich club. Petrov though added: "There have been no other official offers." "Andrei wants to move to Arsenal, and Arsenal wants to acquire Andrei. All that remains is for the parties to agree compensation." In a further twist to the deal, one of the keen advocates of any Arshavin transfer is none other than majority Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov. Anton Lisin - a Russian-based football writer - said: "Usmanov wants Arshavin to join Arsenal. In fact he insists on this deal." He continued: "Arshavin is desperate to leave and play abroad. Arsenal is definitely the place where he can succeed and where they play very technical passing football." -------- City in for him now too... They'd pay the 20m I'd imagine |

Oh look a bad result and the old LFC reers it's ugly head. ![]() Nani was bought as a 20 year old with potential from a league that produces top talent. Arshavin is in his peak at 27 in a league that is a bit dodgy whether he'll be a hit or a miss. |

benayoun who gave away a needles foul today for the free kick?? nani has alot of potential he is very similar to how ronaldo was at his age think he needs a bit of regular first team experience to show his true colours |

MOVE !!...Im Head Boy !!
|
This attack on Nani has been pretty random,he is not worth 17m but he could become value over a few years if he ups his game, when the diva catwalks over to Madrid in the summer Nani may step up as his replacement |
