Aston Villa are weighing-up the decision to make an offer for Everton full-back Leighton Baines, according to a report in British tabloid newspaper The Daily Mirror
It is thought that Villa could be ready to offer cash plus Shorey for the England under-21 international, although it is uncertain whether a move will go ahead.
------

Can't see why they'd go after him. Don't rate him much at all.

Baines is a cracking player, just been unlucky with injuries of late. He's amongst one of many superb buys by Moyes and if he stays injury free will be excellent, he was one of evertons best players last night. Wait till you play them, if he's in the squad i guarantee you he has the ability to keep some of your best players quiet.

He's played quiet a few times against Utd actually both for Wigan and Everton. Never impressed me.

aye, but most of the time in between injuries, he hasn't had a decent spell at left back for everton for ages, he's looking to be over that now and is starting to really show his true worth. More often than not Lescott has played his position due to problems, I honestly think he'll start to show his true ability over the coming months

I was suprised when Oniel bought Shorey and Young, not the best fullbacks out there. Shoreys better than young though id be more concentratin on a left back.

I know Everton fans who don't rate Baines. Think Villa would be better off keeping Shorey. They have that other guy for left back anyway....Bouma.

Well he was good last night.

What's wrong with Shorey? Highly rated when he went to Villa, got a cap and everything.

I know Everton fans who don't rate Baines.
mainly because of his injuries, he's only managed just over 30 games since he arrived in 2007 I think, meaning that lescott has had to deputise there instead, playing most of the season there last year I believe
