also this is on the the daily mail website, not sure how good they are on sport as I dont read it.

"The night of embarrassment left City struggling to find Robinho. Earlier in the night he departed their Tenerife base. Frantic phone calls were taking place last night to try and establish the whereabouts of £32.5million British record signing.

Sportsmail understands that the striker has become recently restless at City, although the full reasons behind his sulk are still to be established.

Mark Hughes and his coaching believe they convince him to stay, but that appeared uncertain. Chelsea are likely to monitor the situation with growing interest.

...............................

Soon after the meeting broke up, Kaka withdrew from the transfer. It is believed he had spoken to Robinho, but it is not known if the developments are linked.

City will today begin their attempt to plead with Robinho to return to their training camp, which is meant to have helped with squad harmony"

city beginning to capitulate... no big stars want to go their, their current big stars dont' want to be there, and they're barely hovering above relegation zone.... this could be a good year for Man Utd fans like us :D

one thing that makes me think it could not be true is that the daily mail say chelski are monitoring the situation. Am I right in thinking Robinho wouldnt be able to play for chelski as it would be 3 clubs in 1 season?

I wonder how much control he's got over events there. It's not cos it's Man City, it could be any club but the way they're going about things it just seems imho that the new owners and their advisers don't know anything about football, how to plan for the future, or run a football club. From what I've seen so far they seem to have more money than sense...

I don't believe he has control over transfers. He did a press conference the other day and was harping on about Kaka and how he was always their #1 target and he knew all about it. Yeh right Mark
