S A Red. I'm certainly not going overboard but there's no doubt it was a lovely goal from a special talent. All it needed was a bit of recognition, no 'world class' tags were being thrown about, but reserve game or not, it still deserves high accalade. You 'expecting' someone to do something does not mean it doesn't deserve recognition. I'd expect a professional footballer to be able to hit a ball 60 yards, so does that mean Beckham's goal wasn't that special, as let's be honest, he is training every day and has been 'groomed' But you expecting someone to score goals like that with their weaker foot is ridiculous and makes me wonder whether you've played the game. |

Monu and I queried the same statement Think he means players in general in ref to a comment made by sa in another part of the thead, confused me too as he had quoted another post. |
| "My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility.Napoleon had that idea.He wanted to conquer the bloody world.I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in." Bill Shankly | |
