LMAO! i'd snap their bloody hands off for half that. Don't get me wrong, I like Kuyt a lot, he's a cracking player although i just still cant define exactly what his position is. He's not a forward or a striker but he is doing well as a right midfielder (can't call him a winger as thats not his style). He played very well for Holland in the Euro's and has come back a lot brighter to us. Scored some important goals and seems to be everywhere on the pitch. However, if we want to move forward we need a player on each side that gives us width and stretches the opposition. Half our issues this season have come from a packed defence against us and an inability to break them down. Playing so narrow allows them to crowd the box and prevent us. If we had a decent right winger who could play the channel and whip in a good cross we could do far better. So if we get a decent offer I have to say we should sell and look to use that money on a decent player who can offer us more on the right. The only downside is that we would then need to definately get a solid right back in place too. Kuyt offers a lot defenesively and can often make up for frailties back there with some good tackling. We remove him and put in a more attacking right winger then we need to ensure the right back position is solid (for me I reckon that should be Stephen Darby getting his chance) |

well said, i think this summer rafa will sell him, remember garcia and others who rafa used so much but as soon as he has had money to bring in world class player in that position he gets rid of those not needed...next season i can see someone lik valencia coming and kuyt being shifted out. the problem he doesnt have enough creativity to be in that role for me but he is our best option at the moment |

best option right now for sure, I would like to see Rafa at least work with Babel a lot more, if he could start to hone his skills over the close season he could be a great choice in the right wing position. End of the day he's right footed and would run the line rather than cut in like he does on the left hand side. However as it stands he's a bit like Nani in that he's just not ready for it, bags of raw talent but not quite consistant enough to push Kuyt out. If we could get that one working and have Riera on the left and Babel on the right I think it could be a great combination, that would leave the money left over to shore up other positions |

that is the one thing which is annoying me, at games say against stoke, is kuyt really needed? do we really need his defensive qualities? i am pretty sure the answer is no which is why babel should be starting in home games mainly against the teams at the bottom half of the table...it just makes no sense to play kuyt |

I hope this is true! Kuyt is good, he works really hard but in the position he is currently occupying he doesn't have the pace or skill to beat defenders which i think is a vital part of what makes a good winger. Babeldhino has to start playing more for me. He has a lot more to offer than Kuyt. |

it does and it doesn't. I see your point about not needing the defensive side of things but in honesty, Kuyt has looked better going forward than Babel has this season. I know theres the point of Babel having not played but when do we risk playing him when we are in a battle at the top of the table. I can't see a point at which we can start playing him apart from the likes of the cup games. It's going to have to wait till the close season and probably pre season before we can start giving babel a decent spell in the team to try and get things working |

sorry but dont agree with that, kuyt dribbing skills, flair and creativity are just not better than babels....his decision making and defensive aspects such as work rate and so on are. we need to start giving babel chances...i said at start of the season if we want to win the title, 4 players need to have a brilliant season alonso, gerrard, torres and babel these are the players who have the potential to really cut through teams and if playing at their best take liverpool into another level....babel yes has been VERY VERY poor but needs to be given chances to get him on form...dropping him wont change anything and he will still play poor when we need him if kuyt isnt playing |

aye, agree in principal, but babel has been a lazy bugger at times in the games he has played, with so few opportunitys he should be workin his arse off to prove his worth, thus far he has done none of it and been pretty much anonymous in games. Now is not the time to be changing that, i just cant see it being worth the risk. |

can it get any worse? we won 2 of our last 6 games and cant seem to score in the league apart from goals from gerrard..... no harm in giving him a try...maybe he can create or get some goals |

this isnt a game to owe players for their earlier work...players need to perform week and week out...kuyts form has been gone for a while and babel should get his chance... its harsh but to be champions you must be ruthless jimmy, united is a good example of this (tevez...) aye they should be ruthless, but changing kuyt for babel as a regular is a big mistake for me. Babel isn't ready and we simply cannot risk putting him in when he's not got the skills to be a right winger yet. Lets not forget he has almost never even played that position before, he needs to be worked on in training and in pre season to get him ready for it. |

these gambles can also win teams a title....if the babel risk pays off we will win more games..if it doesnt we will still be drawing if kuyt was in the team....i would like to see babel given 3-4 games in a row to prove to everyone he has the skills to play right now i just think his confidence is rock bottom and that is the reason for his poor form... |
