tbh i very rarely hear eaither when i go to matches and come to think of it i dont think i have ever come accross homophobic chanting at a footie match. Only other person i can think of was graeme le saux even though he wasnt gay, seemed to get homophobic abuse for reading the guardian and going to antique fairs, i personally think this is a a very rare occasion
According to my calculations the problem doesn't exist

The idiots will always find something to have a pop about, whether it be colour, race, sexualty etc. Doesnt matter who the player is, they will always get grief, just some more than others. Whatever they say about the kick racism out of football etc, dont really think its helped, just replaced one set of insults for another.

Just watch/listen to the sort of grief a player taking the corner gets when its taken where the opposing fans r sitting. Nothing has really changed.

BTW, if u were talking about the battering Campbell got against Spurs, i am not excusing it, but u do have to remember what the average spurs fan thinks of him. It was a hate filled game as far as fans were concerned.............Campbell, Defoe, Rednapp etc , hardly flavour of the month/year/decade with majority of opposing fans.

Homophobia chants, what's wrong with it? They're funny and you must be a right sensitive idiot to take great offence to it. Racist chants on the other hand I can understand...
