Why? He's a good striker, and good enough with your ambitions of breaking the top 4. He'd be the best striker at the club if he were to join. |

I disagree... wasteful finisher.... and though we create quite a few chances our problem was that we did not convert enough of those chances as often as not... I don't think bringing in Adebayor would solve that problem... Edited by dutchmcfc, Jul 14 2009, 12:11 AM.

Adebayor would get into most teams, he's a good striker, but I just don't think he offers what City need. In all honesty, I still think Bellamy and Cruz/Tevez would be one of the best partnerships at the club as I highly rate Bellamy - he scores goals whoever he plays for and has pace and an eye for goal. If he was taller and more of an aerial threat he'd be one of the best players in the league! Highly underrated by many. |

I agree he isn't a good enough finisher but overall he is a good player and would offer alot to City upfront. He'd still score enough goals for City if he were in the team. |

You're Man City, you shouldn't be turning your nose up at players like Adebayor, he'd be your best striker and third best player. |

I wouldn't like taking the risk... I'd prefer if we focused on a CB first anyway... God (and Goonie) know that I don't think adebayor isn't good enough for arsenal, and I don't particularly want a player that I don't rate that highly.... Ade offers a good presence in the box yeah, but it's with converting cahnces we've had a problem, and unless adebayor has a framamtic turnaround in his finishing ability I cannot see him coming as a good thing for the team... |

Arsenal will be fine without Adebayor because they have RVP and Arshevin, plus Walcott and younger players and Eduardo coming back soon. I think that on that basis, he will be a good player for City, definitely around the first team, but I don't think he's near the same league as Eto'o and Kaka and other players they've been after. On the other hand he has a proven track record of scoring in the Premiership and isn't a gamble. You've just got way too many strikers now if this goes through though. |

People go over the top with his finishing, seriously over the top. Adebayor is good enough for most teams in the world and tbh he is too good not to be at a C/L club. He can do and should do better than City imo. Suprised Chelsea or United haven't gone for him. |
