People go over the top with his finishing, seriously over the top. Adebayor is good enough for most teams in the world and tbh he is too good not to be at a C/L club. He can do and should do better than City imo. Suprised Chelsea or United haven't gone for him.
I'm sure they have a good reason for that  .... I still don't want him... :)

Why not? :S He's better than any of the other strikers at City, including Tevez.

Not that I know why they are going for another striker...you'd think they'd have tried for Adebayor first rather than buying Santa Cruz.

I disagree with that.... Ade is fast and he can hold up the ball well... but that's it... Santa cruz scores more easily and Tevez works harder... And anyway, like you said I think we do not need another striker.... I'd prefer one or two CB's (especially now Kompany is injured)

And i like to mention that it's the Sun who is telling the ade rumour, which makes me believe (that happily) it almost must be untrue... :)

That's it? :S I still think he's better than Santa Cruz even though he might miss a few easy chances.

It's not just The Sun...
"Sky Sports News' chief news reporter Bryan Swanson has been told by sources that a five-year deal has been proposed, for a transfer fee of £22m, and personal terms of £170,000-a-week."

Must be the same sources The sun uses..... With Bojinov (whom I rate), Caicedo, Santa Cruz, Robinho, Tevez, Ched Evans and Bellamy at the club, I can't see us going for another striker, especially since we have bigger needs in other areas of the squad...

Flak I have said so before... the problem we had last season was not the amount of chances we created, but the number of chances we actually took.... Ade is a average finisher, and that's NOT gonna solve the problem... Ade might be abit better in other areas the RSC butRSC DOES know how to finish, so for the role he would be playing RSC is better for the club imo...

RSC misses his fair share of one on ones. He only scored something like 8 in twenty something appearances last season, might have been less. He wasn't as clinical as he was the season before. And he'll spend 3/4 of the season out with tendonitis again, so at least Adebayor would be able to play more games probably...

That's a lot of ifs.... He does have a formidable strike team around him...

Last season, according to Wikipedia, he played 20 games and scored 4 goals in the league. 7 Cup appearances and he scored 2 goals, and I don't think they were against big teams. That's a worse record than I thought, he wasn't brilliant last season by any stretch of the imagination because he never got a run of games together because of his injury. Which is recurring and not curable. So he'll have the same problems.

I'd rather have Adebayor any day of the week if I'm honest.

Some of those will be sold. You only need 4, maximum of 5 strikers if Adebayor signs. Adebayor, Tevez, Santa Cruz and one more.

Adebayor would have the same strike team around him. :S

I think the Santa Cruz signing was Hughes showing who is boss and who is in control.

Maybe a favour to his old club also

Yeah, Adebayor is a good player, don't complain too much, Dutch! Cruz isn't the clinical finisher you need either though; I still maintain that Bellamy is the clinical finisher you need and he's already there! How much would you give him to us for, Dutch?

Yeah but look at how many chances he needs at arsenal (who I think create more and better chances than city atm)

Damn  We should put a cheeky bid of £9m in for him anyway. Worth a shot...
