please don't take this as a dig, just looking at things since it looks like Ade is on his way. It would mean in the last few years a top player from Arsenal has moved away each season, Ade this year, Hleb & Flamini the year before, Henry before that. The plus side is that the finances at Arsenal should be pretty damn good, buying cheap and selling high is making those coffers flow, at least you would think so, but theres not really much sign of it. Are we likely to see another major name dissapear next year? Do you worry about your team if you're not keeping the key players together and always bedding in someone new in a fairly crucial position? As I say, lets not get take this as a p*** take, just genuinely curious as to gooners thoughts on it all |

You do have a point, and atm I'm inclined to agree with you... I think that once the stadium is payed off (which it will be relatively quickly at the current rate) Arsenal will have a lot more spending power.... IMO arsenal are laying the economic foundations to become a bigger and better club... |

having the stadium is a massive bonus for them, not sure about it being paid off quickly though, last I heard the debt hadn't changed too much and most of that was the finance needed for the stadium. Don't get me wrong, Arsenal have a wonderful foundation of young players but they still need to have the big hitters in there to turn it on in the important games and such, I can't think of any other club that has lost a big player each year so succesively |

we are a selling club, imo we are a soft touch in the transfer market. we get bullied very easily and it really doesnt help us build a strong squad. our squad has got progressivly weaker since petit and overmars left. we always sell our top players, overmars, petit, vieira, henry, hleb, flamini, adebayor, cesc will leave next summer i believe. a few years ago we had top top class players in most positions such as henry bergkamp, pires, ljungberg, vieira, campbell, cole all together. we dont have that now |

Dont think they r a selling club as such, IMO its more the fact that they arent willing to match what the other Big CL teams will pay in wages, which makes some of their big name players look for moves elsewhere. |

Don't know about a selling club but definitely a club that has to balance the books. I can't see them progressing much if they keep selling their first team players every year. Not sure if Flamini and Hleb left for the money? I can't believe how much Arsenal have changed in the past 10 years or so tbh... |
