If he can't get excited playing real life fantasy football then there'd be no hope for him. Is the Man City job now the best job in football? |

Think it could currently be the worst job in the football management. Cleaning the loos after match day is prob the worst job in football |

But he's building a team from scratch where money is no object but they face other real difficulties like attracting the top players and trying to break the top 4. Only Real Madrid seem to be able to compete with them financially. I know it could all go pear-shaped and be one of the most pressurised jobs but surely it's worth it. |

cheeky gitI'm not sure about the best job... The pressure will be enormous and he'll have quite a tough time trying to keep everybody happy.... I think the best job in football is being the owner

Best managers job. Yeah but surely every manager would aspire to be in such a position with the challenges ahead and funds available? |

Well obviously there are exceptions that confirm the rule I think you have a good point there Flak ![]() RM is much too hectic I think... the pressure on the manager there is even crazier then it is in england, plus I have a feeling you do not necessarily get the players YOU want, but that the club wants.... |

RM have the best keeper in the world currently and if kaka, ronaldo, robben or higuain cant create something against a team then no one can. they r going to have to be winning games 5 3 though as their defence isnt great. gallas would make a huge improvement on their defence |

No. Look at Barca's defence, thats s**t too. With a front line that good you don't need a defence ffs. |

pepe is a very very good cb. just a forking loony who should be locked up in a hospital but still a top top defender. abidal is decent but will only improve. ramos is also good. their defenders are good enough, it is just the confidence and mentality of the team which was costing them last season. as long as they get a top cm next to diara they will be fine |

Depends what you want really; if you want a fantasy football type job with huge expectations, then yes Hughes is in a great job. But the board won't be kind if he doesn't get at least top 6 this season and I'd wager that they'd expect a top 4 finish to be honest. Sir Alex's job is probably one of the best as he is relatively safe and whether he finishes first or second, nobody is going to have too much of a pop at him - he's not in danger of the sack. Wenger's is quite good. Chelski job is pretty bad, and Liverpool job could be bad because after 19 years and no titles Liverpool fans expect things to change every season... Rovers isn't too bad, board is very supportive as long as the club isn't at the bottom of the table. Jobs for clubs like us can be brilliant because there's a lack of expectation; it depends whether you relish living on a budget and staying up or whether you relish the pressure of making your fantasy football team perform properly. Everybody looks for something different in the job really. Edited by footyfan000, Jul 15 2009, 11:10 PM.
