It's nearly Christmas
|
That's because they have never really challenged besides that season they had food poisoning. City are seen as a real threat... |

How as arsenal too good already.... Villa suffered from a very small squad.. If they'd had a larger squad with some more quality squad players I could have seen them taking it....

Exactly They were at 60-70% until then and they were still matching villa.

Not matching Villa as such, they were pretty far behind (relatively) at one point... Thery needed an impulse, and the impulse was not coming from the team they had ( partly due to injuries) but arsenal DID spent and they got a player who gave the team an impulse, which rather validates Bluemoon's point that you need to spend to break the top 4... |

If arsenal don't buy a few more players and replace Ade, I can see City nicking 4th place this season. |

I don't understand, you keep saying only us, but in 07/08 you finished 4th, really Liverpool or Arsenal could drop out, depends on Injurys and luck. Just kinda sick of people saying that Liverpool will finish 1st or 2nd next season because they finally had a decent season in the league.

Improving with players like, Santa Cruz who is injury prone, Robinho who is poor away from home, Bellamy who is injury prone, and an over-rated midfielder in Barry. They don't worry me slightly till they get a half decent defence, looks like dunne is staying then

don't want them to succeed or fail to be honest. If they get into the top 4 next season then fair play to them, but i still don't think they will break into it, because the top 4 Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Mancs are the top 4 because we act like the big team every game and we win the games that need winning most of the time. Its quite disrespectful to those 4 to think that Man City will break it after spending crazy amounts of money, won't happen that quickly. I also don't see people's problem with the top 4 always being the top 4, the game isn't fixed or anything, again its down to the fact that when a lot of teams come across the top 4, they try and play defensive and crumble most of the time, they lack that belief that they can get something out of the game. Villa fell short last season due to lack of numbers in their whole team, but if they had more players, and also used Carew with Gabby & Ashley Young more, then they could of broken into top 4. |
