Not with the current first XI. Chelsea will have the strongest XI closely followed by Liverpool.

Injuries will be key again, should United lose a key player from defence then its going to be a real struggle for them to maintain a title challenge I think, you can never write them off though. Even with a depleted squad they do have a manager who can just pull some amazing things out of the bag at times.

For us its going to depend massively on Torres, keep him fit and firing and we have a chance....

Liverpool look likely to lose Alonso. And Torres will probably miss atleast a month with another injury again too :p

Same with drogba being injured half of the season and with owen and hargreves so they all cancel out

Torres has had a much better break this season, last season was a bit of a rarity for him in terms of injuries, he managed to get through his first season just fine so fingers crossed he'll be ok.

If Alonso goes then we have to bring in someone good enough to either replace him or give us an attacking threat elsewhere, if we don't then our title challenge will walk out the door with him

I said Utd havent the strongest so the discussion is only about Liverpool and Chelsea. And Chelsea have sufficient cover if they lose Drogba too.

don't forget the African Nations early next year which takes a fair old chunk of chelsea players with it. They will need to ensure they are in a good position prior to that I reckon

The only way around that I think would be to sell Alonso and bring in someone like Ribery with the money for Alonso and add about 10m to the deal aswell and get another dm and hope we have enough quality in the front 4 attackers to get the goals and create their own chances

They coped without Essien and Drogba for the most part of last season so I think they can cope for the month

Liverpool are the best team, Chelsea play the best football and United have the necessary experience. Three horse race.
