When asked what he could improve, the Netherlands international replied, “To be more dangerous in front of goal.

"Right now, there are too many times when I can go for goal myself that I pass the ball to another (player) to try to give an assist. At the end, if I watch the game back I think, ‘Hey, I could go for (goal) myself.'

"I still believe I can be a striker but, if you want to be a striker, you have to think more about yourself and that's why you are a striker.

"So I think that's a part I have to learn more, to be more greedy. It's a process and I'm confident that it will come.”
What are Liverpool fans expecting from him next season? There's even more competition in the forward department with the Voronator back...

He does have a lethal shot on him to be fair. If we played a system where he could have a free roaming role from the left he could be a very effective.

MOVE !!...Im Head Boy !!
I think he would do okay as backup to Torres but he is not smart enough to stay onside and he would need to improve his first touch and he hasnt actually ran for liverpool in over 12 months so if he wouldnt mind breaking a sweat I would appreciate it

If he could learn to calm down when the ball comes near him he'd be a decent player. He more often than not either dwells on the ball or scuffs his shots. I remember him missing from an open goal, tho can't remember who against.

Good backup striker tho, once he learns to lift his head and stay onside :p

tbh you can see why babel doesn't get that many games.

He's very inconsistent. Came off the bench against Man Utd and scores, then starts against p*** teams like Midddlesbrough and Portsmouth and does be anonymous.

We'll have to see what his attitude is like first of all.

i would get rid of him. he may have the talent to become one of the best players in the world but at the moment is just too useless in games

Perhaps loaning him out might do him some good?

True but he's worth less than the 12 mil we paid for him now.

Maybe he's in the wrong league?

I think somebody would still pay £10m for his potential, he's still only young.
