put a bid in for his agent maybe...? same way united got berba last season...first they agreed with agent since another team agreed fee and if player wants to move then quickly meet the asking price? spuds and pool put in a late bid for barry but he went for the money |

Just mentioned this in the other thread. Barry was suggesting that Liverpool had been interested in him and that discussed money so O'Neill is evidently not in possession of all the facts. |

Maybe not an official bid with Villa but they obviously conveyed their interest to the player somehow and he stated that he chose City instead. |
