Christian Vieri has revealed just how much he used to party with Ronaldo while at Inter earlier in his career. The former Italy international was being interviewed on Italian TV show Chiambretti Night. “When I was at Inter, Ronaldo was the player who trained less than anyone else, because he was the best footballer in the world and it is true that we went back home at between 5 and 6 in the morning. We went clubbing, and then I used to sleep for a couple of hours and went on to the pitch to train, while he laid down on the cot and ate brioches and drank cappuccinos. “The big problem was that the following day at midnight he used to show up at my house and honked until I came down so we'd go out again,” Vieri laughed. The 36-year-old also revealed that he hasn't spoken to Inter President Massimo Moratti since he walked out on them and joined Milan. Vieri is in the process of suing Inter after it emerged they used a private detective to follow him about and tap his phone calls. “The story of the wiretaps is really ugly. Anyway, for this reason there is a legal action being taken against Inter and Telecom Italia. A business, like the latter, cannot think about entering the life of the people. Anyway, in that period I wasn't the only one to be wiretapped, but it's better not to name names,” Vieri said. “I can only say that the man who spied on me only found that I used to drive too fast.” Asked if he would make peace with Moratti, Vieri replied: “These are things that go beyond football. Since I left the Nerazzurri I haven't heard from him.” |
