The representative of Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Michel Bastos has officially invited bids for the 26-year-old by saying that ‘anything can happen after the World Cup’.

Bastos’ impressive performances for the Ligue 1 giants have alerted several teams across Europe and his agent Duro Ivanisevic has confirmed that some Serie A heavyweights are also monitoring the situation.

“Yes, Michel is being followed by a number of top clubs in Europe, including Italy,” he told Calciomercato.it.

“However, it is impossible for him to leave Lyon in January. He [only] arrived last summer and is happy there.

“There is a Champions League to play for and then he hopes to go to the World Cup with the Brazilian national team.

“This is no time to think about these kinds of things, but anything can happen after the World Cup.”

Juventus and Milan are believed to be the most interested parties in Italy and were already linked with Bastos during the summer transfer window.

“But Juve and Milan didn’t contact me last summer,” insisted the representative.

“However, we did have talks with a few Spanish sides before he signed for Lyon.”

Bastos joined the French outfit from Lille last July and committed to the club until 2013.

Seen him play a few times in the CL for Lyon and for Brazil and he has never impressed me.
