Fabregas was sensational, won the game on his own, both goals were world class. Arsenal on the whole were poor, a special mention should go to Phil Dowd, one of the best refereeing displays I've ever seen, masterclass from the man. |

Villa were toothless at times, Arsenal shouldnt of needed Fabregas but when he came on wow. He ran the show. Thought Diaby had a good game and deserved his goal. |

MOTM - Phil Dowd. What a monstrous performance from Dowdy, absolutely dominated the match, so authoratitive and decisive. He was refereeing the game from the by-line at one point and called a foul that was made 50 yards away, Godly vision, pure masterclass in refereeing. |

You have united at the end of January I think so you should be more worried about that imo. Everton wont be a threat at the Emirates imo |

Lovely. Arsenal were not poor but Denilson was dragging the whole lot down in the middle. You know you're s**t when you're subbed off before an hour has passed and a barely fit midfielder comes on in your spot. First half was pretty even, second half Villa just didn't have it. Diaby did well today but it's frustrating that he doesn't still lingers a little too much on the ball. Denilson was poor. Eduardo yet again played better OUTSIDE the box than within it, he really needs time against lesser teams than Villa if he's going to build up his confidence as the striker he was. BabyTheo inconsistent again BUT battled for the ball more than he was battled off it for a change and managed a perfect pass to set up the goal. Fabregas is just something special, Arsenal always wanna score but were frustrated by Villa first half. He took his chances beautifully, that's all you want really. Even when he came off he left a more confident Arsenal behind. Last season that Arsenal team woulda let Villa walk away with a point. I felt the team's performance was a lot more dogged than we usually see which I'm really impressed with, they actually got in there and fought for the ball at times. Props to Traore as well, the defence did well overall because teams just can't keep out Villa but he wasn't shown up today so I'm happy for him ![]() Villa are still a good team - after we got a whooping we picked up our s**t and I'm sure they will. |

Oi, Footyfan000, what an exhibition from Dowd don't you think? Absolutely dismantled Song and Petrov at the end, out and out boss. |

away... they've only won three out of 9 at home I think so i wouldn't say they're THAT tough but it would be typical of Arsenal to go there and get frustrated. |
