i wonder if vivaronaldo will make a threat about us being mediocre this week??
To be fair to him he wasn't just talking about one game. And to be even more fair to him, how many of Man United's performances have inspired such a positive reaction from your fans this season? Maybe the team has been mediocre. It doesn't matter now because the other teams have been, in different ways.
we have been as mediocre as last season we just had not lost as many games last year, his reaction was just knee jerk to loosing 2 in a row forgetting that we had only 2 fit defenders out of 12 and missing the first choice goal keeper.

He'd already made the point and if my memory serves me correctly he made the point before you lost to Aston Villa about your performances so I'm not quite sure how that counts as a knee jerk reaction. And you weren't missing defenders for that long yet your performances before this month weren't a lot to shout about so I can kinda see his point. Your own supporters have generally not had much to say about the performances of Man United since August so is it really that 'knee-jerk'?

Yup that wasn't knee jerk I don't think and I agree with what he put anyway, United have been underperforming this season performance wise even when winning.

im just saying that last season when we were winning he didnt mention it. we were crap last season and if it was not for ronaldo pulling goals out of nowhere at times we would have been alot worse off plus him actually not putting half the effort he had done from previous seasons.

5 points out of the "big 4" mini league is appalling

we have played alot more as a team this season to last

there was not really any need for it considering we were 2nd in the league and qualified easily for the CL

What makes you say that? :S

Some of the performances have been dire...mostly ones shown on ESPN.

You can be second in the league and still not look that impressive. Chelsea have been mediocre (or worse) this month and are still top of the league. Your own fans haven't had a lot of great things to say about the Man United performances this season so Saggy can't have been far wrong. When you have to focus purely on the results because you can't defend the performance is kinda when you know your team can LOOK better.

True, United were missing defenders. But that wasn't all they were missing against Villa and Fulham and I think that would have p***ed Saggy off more than anything else.

If United's performances for the rest of the season are similar to how they've been before tonight and United are still in 2nd, you'll all be complaining about it.

i complained alot about the spurs game we won earlier in the season. we were dire and i was very drunk. what is the difference between man utd/chelsea and arsenal liverpool in the last 5 years??? united/chelsea could get wins when playing badly, its how you win leagues. arsenal did it that season when they went unbeaten.

we are in a transition at the moment. before we had scholes and ronaldo, last season scholes had a dip in form from previous seasons and ronaldo was not trying

tbh if we are still 2nd i wont be complaining i dont think we deserve to be 2nd, then again 2nd top goal scorers in the league 2nd best defensive record in the league. maybe its where we are meant to be. you cant win the league every season

we cant just expect teams to open up and let us score past them

what makes me say that is that each game a different play stands out, never just the same 1 or 2 like last season. with ronaldo we almost played it directly to him every time now players have to think about where they are playing it, giggs rooney and valencia have all been good. evra has been excellent also. possibly the 4 that have started the most games this season carrick and fletcher get the job done in CM

look at the games we lost at liverpool and chelsea and the fact we had more possession than them at their grounds. and the amount of player to have scored this season

Good performance. Makes a bloody change <_<

Jeffers we have been abysmal for the majority of this season. One good performance doesn't excuse that.

TBF, If you were being honest, we haven't been abysmal for the majority of the season either. You can't be in 2nd at Xmas if that was true.

Spot on as usual Stace

Jeffers, as stacie said, the fact you have to name our good performances says an awful lot.
