I think Villa are incredibly lucky. The referee has cost us millions of pounds - would we automatically be in Europe if we got into the cup final, which we probably would be without that first goal being given? We'd have at least been in the cup final which would have been a major boost financially and morale wise. Instead Villa went form strength to strength, Samba is a tool and from then on there's only one outcome.
spot on, not even denying it. we took the luck though which is all i could hope for.

feel sorry for blackburn, they do not deserve this at all :(
I feel really cheated. A simple decision has cost us absolutely loads and its total incompetence from the referee. Credit to Villa for going from strength to strength once they got the first goal, but I feel really really bitter about it because Villa really should be losing 2-0, possibly more as we were totally battering you.

Olsson!!!!!!! Consolation, and what a way to get it.

Don't know. It wasn't until the referee let them wake up that they seemed to show any passion. I can't really fault Rovers players apart from Samba - we're down to ten men ffs and have been really cheated. Going forward in particular we've been better. No chance of coming back, but the referee made sure of that when Villa got their first and from then there was only one way the match was going to go - and then Samba goes and ensures it even more.

Definitely. He shouldn't have made the tackle - there's no guarantee Agbonlahor would've scored anyway. That said, if the referee did his job properly, they wouldn't have been in the match at all.
