Many negatives from tonight. A referee has taken us for mugs and cost us dearly once again, Samba is banned for the next three games and its yet another loss for us.

On the plus side, we've looked quite good and maybe Big Sam will change our style of play a little having seen this performance.

Cracking game of football.

Blackburn can hold their heads up high after this performance.

Loved the "Are you Burnley in disguise?" songs in the first half.

They score another goal... absolutely farcical result as it should never have been and the referee ought to hang his head in shame equally as much as we are holding ours high. Having been down to 10 men for most of the match and being victims of one of the worst decisions I've seen this season in terms of getting simple, clear and easy decisions wrong that turned the match, to come out having scored 4 goals is quite good.

I really hope Villa lose 6-0 to a particularly unjust decision in the final. I am really bitter about this as the referee has cost us really dearly and they don't really deserve to be there in the sense that they would not have come back into it without the referee's decision - we would've gone 3 or 4 nil up. Then Samba makes an absolute tool of himself, gets himself sent off and costs the team. If we'd had 11 men on the pitch we'd have still won I think, but Samba was stupid. So the blame lies two fold - with Samba and the referee.

Cant blame it all on the ref Footyfan, the first goal yes shouldn't of been given.

Only one man to blame tonight. He is 6 foot 4 and goes by the name of Samba, what a forking donkey.

Lots of positives, Olsson, Kalinic. Both brilliant

Can't blame Villa for the result. Buck stops with the officials...

I wish Milner would stop sniffing. <_<

Nah you can't blame it all on the referee - its half his fault and half Samba's. But you have to say, Villa had done absolutely nothing before the first goal, we were looking really dangerous and if they hadn't got that goal which they shouldn't have, they wouldn't have come into it. Certainly not before we were a goal or two more up. I think Samba ought to be dropped for a while in punishment as we have plenty of other defenders we can play and he deserves to suffer for that poor decision making.

In other news (indeed, trivia), all 3 of our red cards have come against Villa this season - Grella, Diouf and Samba.

all circumstantial, even with the 1st goal we had it all to do, blame your own team for crumbling at the start of the first half.

I just think that Villa were always going to come back into it with a goal and it shouldn't have stood. I blame my own team a little bit but once we were down to ten men we were always going to crumble in the second half.

Lot of positives for Blackburn to take from that display though and to score 2 with 10 men looks good for the future in the league. Shame they are gonna miss out on a day out at Wembley mind. :(
