Can't see a thread for this game yet.

Live on ITV1 for those who want to watch it

I wonder if Rafa is going to send out a few of the younger players today. I'm hoping that we see, at least, Pacheco and Spearing from the start.

I'd like to see something along the lines of:

.............................Cavalieri..............................

Degen.............Skrtel.............Kryten............Buchtmann

...................Spearing...............Aquilani.................

Benayoun................Pacheco.........................Babel

........................Wash'N'Gog.................................

Not much chance of seeing Buchtmann yet so I'd expect Insua at LB unless Aurelio is fit enough to start.

Acoording to reports rafa has said Torres and Gerrad will be playing today, he said 8 days is enough rest for the players after this game

That's a shame. Really want to see Pacheco given more than a little 15 minute cameo at the end. N'Gog badly needs some game time too. He's hardly played recently and we don't want him to lose his goalscoring touch.

Am I the only one that wants to see a full first team out there? Why shouldnt we? We are not playing again until tomorrow week. In fairness we need to be aiming for something

Even though I wouldnt mind seeing Pacheco myself

I'd like to aswell IRL from the point of view that I want to win something this year

But I desparately want to see at least Pecheco getting a good runout - the kid has so much potential and creativity.

Plus you've got to try and keep your squad players happy if possible.

Changing my tune since 2008.
Aquilani can't even get a cup game? What the heck? What is he doing wrong, or more to the point, why did Rafa sign him in the first place if there was no intention of playing him?

He's started the last 2 footyfan and he picked up at least 1 minor injury during that too so he's just resting him to make doubly sure he's fit for the next match (that's my theory and I'm sticking to it :p )

Its really not a lot of games that he's playing and in the short period of time he's likely to be fit for, he's not getting games... he seems to be a player like Dunn but worse, who spends most of his time injured, but unlike Dunn he isn't getting used whilst he's fit.

I must admit I'm aurprised he's not starting but it wouldn't shock me one bit if he's picked up a slight knock in training or in the last game.
