Reading score. Little fortunate with the ball back across deflecting in but they fully deserve the lead to be fair. Much better side so far.

Changing my tune since 2008.
Blame the player who gave away the free kick. It was really needless - the Reading player had easily beaten him and would've put in a cross to a nearly empty box. Instead, the defender pulled the Reading player's shirt and gave away a free kick - and set pieces just outside the 18 yard box are always going to be dangerous.

The passing from us at the moment is worse than aweful. All it takes is a tiny bit of closing down and we completely panic and gift the ball back to the opposition.

That was a little better, N'Gog came short and played it out wide to Kuyt for the cross. The movement ahead of the ball out wide and through the middle is virtually non-existant.

Gerrard!!!

If Kuyt was standing in an offside position then he was definitely active.

He was onside though. :woo:

Great dummy from him in the end :thumb:
