Aquilani. What is his actual role going to be when he's fit, settled and playing regularly :S

Its not going to happen :p Although at this rate, maybe he could be fit, settled and playing regularly in the reserves...

I think rafa bought him so at home its more like a 4-1-4-1 instead of the 4-2-3-1. We struggled to break down teams at home so he brought him in to add another player into the oppositions box

I'm not one to cast judgement quickly about a player, but he hasn't shown me anything which suggests he has the strength, stamina, ability or speed to make it as a regular for Liverpool. Not even glimpses.

Bought when injured, has 'panic buy' tattoed all over his Ł<insert ridiculous amount in here> a week contract.

I really don't think can play anywhere other than AM judging by his current performances. He gives the ball away far to easily under pressure and we just can't afford to do that if he is piccking up the ball fairly deeply.

I like Crouch's thinking for the home games of a 4-1-4-1 with both Gerrard and Aquilani playing a relatively advanced role.

Im the one saying he needs games and minutes but theres only so long I can say it. Usually you can tell if a player has it right away and tbh I dont see it in AA. I hope to god he proves me wrong because if he isnt good enough were knackered this year

He is also only settling into a new country, absolutely everything is new and he hasnt probably even settled outside of football either in England. We will know if he is good enough soon enough

Agree with what both of what you have said, but he isn't showing the faintest signs that he can cope. I would be hoping to see something, but he looks overawed at the moment. Perhaps he isn't mentally strong enough.
