yeh it's all opinions at the end of the day. I also don't think that City (or Villa or Spurs) were expecting to finish top 4 at the end of this season. They've suddenly found themselves in with a chance but whether it follows that they really believe they can do it is a different story. And if they didn't it wdn't be considered a bad season for any of them if they finished in the top 6/7.

Yeah they defended well, defended better than United...

But the attack was still lacking. Just couldn't find a way through and I thought the attacks were too slow. A few chances seemed to fall for Park who we didn't want them to fall too. <_<
We are lacking up the top massively. When we did break no one was there supporting in a forward enough position. And the crossing today, forkin terrible.
Yep and even when you do get a cross in it has to be inch perfect with nobody really to aim for in there. Especially today with one upfront.

Bad times. We should bring Llorente in IMO. He is something to aim at, I rate him quite highly from what I have seen.

You need more players to step up like Rooney. He looks like the only player who understands that Ronaldo has gone and isn't relying on someone else to fill the void. His goal record in the league so far, compared to full seasons in the past, is crazy but you gotta wonder if in trying to score more goals he's sacrificing something else in his game. Berbatov is chipping in but really... not enough with the goals.

Is a pity, think he would excel at United.

Sir Alex Ferguson criticised the match officials after ten-man Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw at in-form Birmingham.

The Red Devils dominated the first period at St Andrews before Cameron Jerome netted against the run of play for the Blues on 39 minutes.

But United levelled when Scott Dann turned in Patrice Evra's cross on 63 minutes, with referee Mark Clattenburg allowing the equaliser after consulting with one of his assistants, although the Birmingham players believed Wayne Rooney was offside.

Darren Fletcher was then sent-off for a second bookable offence late on as United held on for the draw

Afterwards, Ferguson criticised the performance of the match officials, risking the wrath of the Premier League once more.

The United boss was banned for four games, two of them suspended, and fined £20,000 for comments about the fitness of Alan Wiley after October's draw with Sunderland.

He was also warned about his future conduct, but he labelled the dismissal of Fletcher 'ridiculous' while questioning the decision-making surrounding the own-goal.

Soft
The United boss said: "I've not seen a softer sending-off for a long time. It's absolutely ridiculous, really.

"I've been watching Mark Clattenburg this season. He did the Arsenal-Tottenham game - you had to have someone hit with an axe before he'd book anyone in that game, and he sends a player off here.

"There were some wonderful and weird decisions out there. The linesman gives offside for our goal - it's an own goal, and he gives offside! Anyway, we carry on."

But Ferguson was pleased with a point against Birmingham, who are now on a 12-game unbeaten run in the league.

"Birmingham are in real good form, they work so hard and make it difficult for you so we've got to be satisfied with a point, particularly as we've ended with 10 men."

He added: "To lose the goal just before half-time after dominating the game was a real sickener.

"But the most important thing is to persevere in situations like that. We have got the experience to do that.

"But this is a tough league. Birmingham have really improved since they have come into this division.

"Alex McLeish has done a fantastic job and he's got players ready to run 100 miles for him out there. He deserves great credit."

It was a soft sending off, but the goal was allowed Fergie which was a great shout by Clattenburg.

The sending of was a joke, no doubt about that and Clattenberg did give the goal so he wasnt exactly against united. I like him as a ref mainly beacuse home or away he gives us everything when he does our games but all in all he is of a pretty poor standard

I dunno about the sending off, can see where the ref was coming from tbh.

Battenberg looks like he should own a sunbed shop and drive a Cadillac.
