They played well but you cannot be letting Arsenal attack you and get shots off if you want to beat them. And you need to be putting your own chances away. |

They shouldve buried the game straight after the Pieenar goal. didnt take there chances but they deserved the win no doubt about that IMO. 2 deflected by Arsenal, on another day they might have been deflected out for a corner or just away. Just one of those days where Arsenal got the rub of the green. |

I'm not one to give teams props they didn't earn - and that goes for Arsenal. If we'd dominated and only got a draw I wouldn't be claiming we deserved the win either so at least I'm consistent. For me, unless there's a mistake made by an official somewhere or fairies fly down and gift the other team a goal, you get exactly what you deserve. I can see what you mean though - Everton's performance between the goal areas was better than Arsenal's. |

lucky arsenal. shaky at the back. weak in midfield. invisible upfront. the only plus points are denilson and the poodle could be out for a while, fingerscrossedsmiley. |

Not where it counted. In fact, it makes it worse that Arsenal were poor, as goslow points out and Everton still twice let them score. Great chance for Everton to pick up all three points. |

On another day those 2 deflections might of ended up elsewhere not in the back of the net. So yes, they were where it mattered. |

Yeah and on another day, Pienaar may have missed his shot... may have got it off target. Osman may have missed his header. What exactly is your point? No point talking about other days because as soon as you let a player get a shot and it's not blocked, the rest is hope. If you are not going to score more goals than the other team, better passing and tighter organisation will never be enough to earn you the win. I mean, this is what I say when Arsenal don't win, so I can't flip the script for another team. Truth is, if Arsenal had dominated that game but dropped points and cesc came on whinging about how we deserved to win, I'd say the same thing to him. And so would everyone else. |

football is the only game I can think of where the best team doesn't necessarily win |

Depends how bitter you are about that defeat in Year 10 to a rival school in a basketball game
