I read somewhere that you only get suspended if you rack up 5 up until the beginning of January. Then after that you get suspended after 10 :S

Good for Utd in terms of keeping a clean sheet. Having Rio and VDS back is going to be a big plus.

But massive problems remain up front. Once again just too reliant on Wayne Rooney to get them the goals. Imo the scoreline today just masks an underlying problem, and next week if he has an off day or if things don't come off for him, who else will Utd rely on?

5 minutes extra time, Brown time then.

Rooney on fire, good lad.

Nani was very good, and its nice to see Rio back.

Hull didn't test them anywhere nearly enough.

Rooney shone today but any other day you'd expect Owen to step up a bit more and Berbatov gets the odd goal. They are quite heavily reliant on Rooney but they also have Valencia who has chipped in lately.

20 goals for Rooney now (I think it's 19 in the league). He shd finish above 30 this season.

They did alright in the 1st half but yeh I can't say they really tested them. But I still think it's good for them generally to have them 2 back together.

If Rooney hadn't played today Stacie it wdn't have surprised me if the game had finished 0-0. Agree about Valencia, he's doing OK tbf.

yeah hull didnt really create much but we wasted far too many chances in the first half. then owen had the chance to get a few goals for himself but his finishing let him down, and that had nothing to do with hull. myhill made a couple of good saves as well.

i'm surprised at Owen. Hull have probably the worst defence in the league, he's unlikely to get that many chances to impress in one game again cos he doesn't even play that much.

Owen should have done alot better IMO, that one shot was so tame. his movement and passing was pretty good but he needed to score a goal

Good having Ferdinand back but he wasn't tested much, will get a proper feel for how his back is holding up in the next couple of matches.

I know what you are saying though, other people need to chip in with goals. Hmmmm, not good. Owen a good finisher? <_<

:o bit harsh that flak. I was about to say maybe he's best just come on as sub as an impact player, but then again maybe his finishing is as a result of not getting a consistent run of games? If he can handle it, maybe he should start 3/4 games in a row, not necessarily play him the full 90 mins, perhaps 60 mins each game? Get that partnership between him and Rooney, and him and Berbatov going?

 I dunno, his finishing has always been like that at United, I seem to remember it being pretty similar from what I saw at Newcastle too. That's not going to happen because Rooney is undroppable and Fergie sometimes even goes with one striker upfront and leaves Owen on the bench so he's not in his plans that much I wouldn't have said.
