That second point about attacking sides rings true. I can understand why he went defensive after the first few games of the season as we were leaking goals like anything. Now that we have sured things up at the back a lot more it does seem pretty counter-productive to carry on with the same setup when it is so clear that we are now really struggling for goals. Our defense should be strong enough to not concede more than 1 goal against most teams so it stands to rights that if we go out to hit 2 or 3 then we are likely to win 90% of matches we play. At least give it a go! Please?!
Hmmm going for more goals means Liverpool will probably leave themselves open at the back though...

Wouldn't be surprised at Bolton getting something, it's how Liverpool's entire season has gone with one good win followed by it being undone the next game.

Even if we leave ourselves a bit open at the back we shouldn't be conceding more than 1 or, at worst, 2 goals against most sides. If we are able to score 2 or 3 goals in a game then it's highly unlikely we'll get anything other than a win. If Bolton can score more than 1 against us then there's something wrong with our defense

Probably still too early for Coyle to get the team playing the way he wants. Going for 2-1 to Liverpool but after the Wolves match I wouldn't be surprised with 1-1.
always remember you're unique - just like everyone else

I guess but we all know Rafa likes his defence in order first. I think Bolton scored 2 against Arsenal just the other week. :S

Is that team confirmed LFC?

Arsenal's defending at the start of that game was suicidal though

I'm just fed up with watching us struggle to hold on all the time. I would much prefer to watch us just go for it. If we were challening at the top of the league it would be different but as it is what have we got to lose by doing it now?

its not about going for it for me papa, its about giving the team a fair chance. last season we didnt go for it until the end yet we still used a playmaker in alonso

before that we went with gerrard in cm as well yet we didnt go for it

so why cant we do that now? rafa knows, he isnt dumb that without a ball player in the middle we resort to a scruffy and long ball games. what p***es me right off is that is what he wants so it makes us a hell of a lot cautious and defensive as we just play net ball and not risk many people forward

we went very defensive against stoke and wolves ffs, stoke and wolves!!!
