Yeah Sagna and Clichy try to help out too much when Arsenal are behind but don't ever offer anything attacking wise, because our players don't know how to respond to a cross, and can't offer anything defensively because they're not in position.
Their crossing is just gash. Either floated far too much, are so low that the defender covering the near post can clear with ease. Just look at their technique, pathetic and lacking in confidence. Traore, Gibbs and Eboue are all a million times better than them at crossing.
Eboue is a class act, what can I say

If (stress if) Man Utd and Chelsea drop points this week and arsenal win tonight are they still out of the title race? <_<

And Cesc, I would rather Gooners win it this year then anyone but you jut changed my mind for me
What did I say out of line to change your mind? :S
I think - I THINK, the comments about Liverpool may have done it
I never said anything bad about Liverpool in this thread :S

Yeah Sagna's has always been poor at crossing. I'd rather he stayed in position so when players like A Cole burst forward, we're not left with Walcott to defend. It's not like Arsenal need help upfront with moving the ball forward

I got nothing against Gallas but he too has recently started wondering forward too much and when Man United broke against us recently he was nowhere. He can't be doing that.
That's Wenger's fault not Gallas and Verm's. They're both clearly told that they have the freedom to burst forward if they wish. What went wrong against United for the third was that nobody dropped in to cover him because everyone was desperate to get forward with us being 2-0 down. And Verm followed Rooney to the ball instead of dropping off and giving Clichy support. And Denilson's s**t control of course! Was just a complete nightmare really, all five goals conceded in the last two games have been.

I'd get him in for Sagna right now purely because Sagna kills so many attacks with a s**t cross after we've worked the ball well into the final third. On the left there's a case for giving Verm a game there and bringing Sol in at centre back. I jsut can't deal with Clichy's and Traore's defensive ineptitude.

Yeah, before the game they may be told they can wander forward and of course the whole team was desperate but they are first and foremost defenders and Wenger cannot be on the pitch all the time to tell them when to be in a position to defend. It's something you'd think they would know.

I'd probably prefer Gallas to go leftback and put Sol in his place :S

Liverpool havn't won at Arsenal for 10 years

Trends are there to be broken. We need this win, more than Liverpool! It's not fair! Can't they just carry on hoping that we lose six points and that pushes them closer???

Why Gallas over Verm at left back? Verm is left footed, has a rocket shot, is very good at passing and with ball at feet, and has played left back for Belgium and Ajax occassionally i believe. He's also pretty quick.

Campbell and Gallas also compliment eachother more that Campbell and Verm. Verm and Campbell are both proactive defenders, Gallas is more into sweeping.

I suppose, I hadn't seen Verm play elsewhere really. And I remember Gallas filling in over there when he first came.
