Oh, LFC... 1. I know you sometimes skip reading people's posts or use your imagination to edit in bits you can argue, but surely even you can't have missed the fact that I haven't made any excuses for Fabregas, I have said it was a blatant handball and he should have been punished and Liverpool should have had their free kick. 2. Rafa has every right to be annoyed. 2. The point I'm making is that Gerrard first of all was not bothered to put in a performance for his team and secondly blatantly trying to cheat so he should keep his mouth quiet about the referee. |

read what you posted after the referee bit, selective memory is indeed an issue, but not for me. Edited by TheReturnOfTheKing, Feb 11 2010, 01:24 PM.

I'm not saying that what fabregas did was right, this isn't about fabregas at all. What he did was cheating, simple as that. I'm saying that Gerrard has a nerve because he's a cheat himself. |

Arsenal only got hit by Utd and Chelsea on the counter attack when they were already a goal behind, very rare and it should never happen that you conceed a goal on the counter at 0-0. And tbf, Rafa has never ever constructed a midfield that would be capabale of doing so anyway |

thing is lads...we knew from the close of august transfer window we had no money to strengthen the squad, all we did with the money was buy like for like (position wise) replacements, aquaman for xabi and johnson for arbeloa. we have fork all money to invest elsewhere. we then purchased the spartan for 1.5 m and maxi on a free. sadly injuries and early season poor form didnt help. but i think our squad is realistically punching at the right weight. once yossi torres and johnson are back we will be more potent but for now it is what it is |

yeah but that meant we needed to get those buys spot on tbh we cant complain much about johnson, he has been ok but i think rafa was disrespectful to the rest of the teams in the league by thinking lucas and masch could keep them in winning ways, if he got in a good playmaker instead of an injured cm who cost 20 forking million lol who hasnt played for 18 months. we got ripped off beyond belief a good and fit cm for 20m is very possible to purchase in this market, rafa messing up on the cm buy has cost this club big time imo |

Everyone knows how to beat Arsenal, it's talked about all the time. But only certain teams on certain days will be able to execute those tactics. You take points from the top teams by having a strong or at least organised defence. |

Yeah, same thing to be fair. I'm sick of players in general who have a lot to say about cheating but don't shy away from pulling off the odd con themselves. Fabregas was simply cheeky to be cussing the referee after what he got away with, Gerrard is the same. |

maybe he had too much faith in lucas's ability much like wenger and denilson? thats not to say lucas hasnt improved, imo hes been one of our best players this season , allthough im sure a few of you may debate it . then again reports and statements indicate rafa wasnt expecting aquaman man to be out for so long, you may recall mention of an independant specialist who claimed he would be back by the end of august. that certainly ddint help the midfield cause. but lucas had to take on the responsibility him self and try to prove his worth, gerrard was another option but hes been playing as a forward in recent seasons, and again i go back to my earlier point, rafa probably believed lucas could fill the void untill aquaman was available. |
