Okay. When I said 'If Arsenal won all their games' it was only in response to when you were chatting on about if United had beaten Liverpool. Ifs don't matter for s**t. And I only said it once, I don't 'keep' saying it at all.

You can talk about Man United all you want but right now, Chelsea is the best team in the league. Are you honestly going to tell me that if you don't beat them it's impossible for United to win the league? You do not need to beat the best in a one to one game to win the league, jeez you saw that last season, why are you struggling to understand it? You only have to beat them over the other 36 games. You keep saying you have to beat the best to be the best but you don't, not at all. I don't know how much more proof you need.

Your first post was ridiculously general if you're speaking specifically about Arsenal's position over the last two weeks. Of course if we're behind a team at any given point in the season we're going to need to beat them to get closer to them or overtake them, but that would be the same even in August or September. Come the end of the season, you can finish above a team even if you never beat them once.

For the short term, you may need to beat a team you are trailing, of course. But for the long term, for May, which is what you were referring to, you don't.
please quote where i said you kept saying it??? i said you make up theoretical situations to prove your points, then dismiss other theoretical points because they disprove your points, everyone can either use them or no one. i do love how you keep twisting my words aswell

man utd have dropped 19 points this season chelsea 17, we are 2/3 the way through the season if they were to average out dropping 1 point a game, arsenal have to win all their games but 1 to win the league.

arsenal are now closer to 6th than 2nd

lets look from another angle

liverpool want to get 3rd, and have a game against arsenal. if liverpool win this game they get closer to arsenal and where they want to be, yet if they loose arsenal are almost unattainable to liverpool. it means that arsenal can make less mistakes

can you see arsenal being above chelsea or utd at the end of the season??? i know cesc does thus why i posted what i did

I miss Torres <_< he would have a field day with your weak backline
Yeah, he kinda would. Although, knowing your luck, that would make this the day our defence put in some abnormal world class performances and I'll-moon-ya saved a penalty.

If (stress if) Man Utd and Chelsea drop points this week and arsenal win tonight are they still out of the title race? <_<

And Cesc, I would rather Gooners win it this year then anyone but you jut changed my mind for me
the'd be in again. but they had to relay on other teams to win games against united and chelsea, rather than win their games against them
You say this like it's a really bad thing :S
why expect others to do what you cant. theoretically other teams have won the league for you

I'm not twisting your words at all jeffers. I made the point about Hull and Birmingham and responded to your comments about Liverpool last season. That was it. The whole basis of this discussion is theory so I'm not dismissing any part of it on that basis alone. I've dismissed your original point cos it was poorly made and easily discredited with examples of your own team's achievements.

Then you switched up and made the point about Arsenal's position prior to the games last week, which I agreed with but also said that doesn't make winning those games a necessity because it's not impossible for Arsenal to still overtake Chelsea and Man United.

Now you've gone on to this thing about beating the best to become the best. Two of Man United's last three title wins have come without beating the second place team - the best of the rest - yet you seem to comment on the idea of Arsenal doing the same as a negative thing. In my opinion, all that shows is that you don't have to beat the best to be the best.

loosing twice to liverpool last season was awful (and possibly the only reason they were in the title race at the end), if united had won those 2 games there would have been a 12 point swing which would have put liverpool on 80 and united on 96, liverpool would have not been anywhere near as close
Yes yes and IF Arsenal had won all their games they would have won the league. You couldn't beat Chelsea last season and you couldn't beat Liverpool - the two best runners up in the league that season. The only team you could beat was an Arsenal team so poor, yet you walked away with the title. Beating Chelsea helps a great deal but you don't NEED it. You don't need to beat those teams.
Man United didn't beat us last season stacie if I remember the 2-1 and 0-0 scorelines correctly :S

Its not a weak backline mate, its a backline suffering a dip in form. Bit like your team aint weak first half of the season, it just had shocking form.
