AC Milan vs Manchester United

Thiago Silva went off injured for Milan at the weekend so it looks likely that he will miss the game, Pato, however is available after injury. Beckham started on the bench for Milan on Friday and it looks unlikely that he'll start against his former club. Giggs and Vidic miss out for Utd but Ferdinand will be available again after missing the last couple of matches through suspension.

I thnk this will be a cagey match and Utd will look to take a 0-0 or 1-1 back to Old Trafford for the second leg.

Likely lineups
Dida
Abate - Nesta - Bonera - Antonini
- Ambrosini - Seedorf - Pirlo
- Pato - Huntelaar - Ronaldinho

Van der Sar
Brown - Ferdinand - Evans - Evra
- Fletcher - Scholes - Carrick
- Nani - Rooney - Park

Huntelaar won't start. Borriello will I'd have thought.

Dida isnt a terrible keeoer, thats an insult to the word terrible. He is a joke

I serioulsy cant wait for these games. I think it will be 0-0 at the San siro and there will be a classic at OT. Pato getting back fit is greta news and with him and Ronnie in the team they have a chance

I think Dinho will really be up for this

Huntelaar playd on Friday and scored twice. Doubt he'll drop him.

If that's the back 4 then you have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet imo. Utd need to come out all guns blazing like they did against Inter last season, I can't see the Milan midfield being able to cope with that. 0-1 and the first win for Utd at the San Siro.

Nice balls Monty. :thumb:

I don't think there's any doubts over the formation for this game. Would imagine it'll be pretty cagey with United looking to sit back quite a lot and hit them on the counter. Wouldn't be surprised at a 1-0 either.

I don't think Utd will sit back Flak. I think they'll come out like they did against Inter in the 1st half last season. There was no Vidic for that game either.

We have no reason to sit back, we need to get at them. We definetly have to score at the SS though.

I think Rooney will go 4-5-1 at the San Siro and try to stifle Milan, I think united really need to take something back to OT even if it is just an away goal

COME ON MILAN :D

Think Utd will want to settle an old score as well. Prove something, that they can win over there against Milan.
