I feel bad for Nani tbh. Finally gets a few decent performances under his belt and reckon he'll take the brunt of the blame for the 1st half performance from Utd fans.
Nah, he was shite but so were most of the others, including well_on_the_way_to_being_world_class Jonny Evans. :p Just couldn't string three passes together. Never seen them look so nervous...

United were very lucky to still be in the match after that first half. Shocking performance.

I think Rooney has scored as many headers this season as he had in all of his previous season's put together....

What a goal by Milan at the end.

I thought Rooney was talking about the officials in all honesty....
So did I until I watched it again when he was asked "why were united so poor in the first half?"
Oh okay, I'd have to see it again, cos the guy asked if he was getting frustrated in the first half and he said no, not at all and seeing as Nani was poor in both halves I thought he meant the officials when he mentioned some people not doing their jobs.

Agreed. Unless Milan get two quick-fire early goals, which I can't really see happening.

I'm pretty sure he was having a pop at Nani cos he went on to labour the point about quality balls into the box. I agree it is unfair to single out Nani when the whole midfield (except Scholes) was shite in the first half.

The reporter asked him if he was getting frustrated in the first half (presumably because he wasn't getting much of the ball) and he said "no, not at all" then if I recall he said something like he was moreso in the second half because certain people weren't doing their jobs but he didn't want to say more incase he got in trouble

Fair enough, I did tune him out halfway through :D

Doesn't make sense t me because there were less United players doing their jobs in the first half. :S

That Ambosini is a master at winning a foul. Should have a medal just for that.

Maybe he shouldn't be saying it in public DM but I said this before, the team are relying on him too much and it must fork him off. It's too much to expect him to do it all.

I agree even Rooney had a pretty poor game, but when he does, others should be pulling their weight. I dunno, maybe they're just not capable, ability does not match up to expectation.

Did anyone else think rooneys second was very similar to Ronaldos against Inter last year?
