Yeh, hard to see Milan winning by 2 goals, but if Milan score first then it could get a bit squeaky bum. Utd need to score first and then keep their s**t tight at the back.
You have a way with words Ted. :p

The aftermath seems to be all about praising Rooney. Fergie is backinghim to reach 30 for the season.

Very entertaining game which showed up Milan's shortcomings and United's flaws which should ensure that United will win the tie but won't win the European Cup. 4 of the 5 goals were of so shockingly defended and numerous other chances for both teams missed, it seemed untrue. Evra yet again with such a casual clearance, you would think after costing United the second goal in Rome last year he would of learned but no. Favalli and Bonera were very poor on Rooney's first goal, whilst Silva should be more experienced than trying to play offside instead of going to Rooney on his second. Rafael just must of got caught up in the dominance of United when at fault for Seedorf's goal.

Btw, ridiculous refeering decision to send off Carrrick, Evra escaped without a booking despite fouling Pato for the 7th time. Evra should of got yellow and Carrick should of went unpunished.

United don't always defend like that Ricky! Vidic will be back soon as well so Evanswill be out because he was a liability last night.

Evra was like that against Ashley Young when they played Villa as well. Fergie said Carrick left the referee with no choice, it was for kicking the ball away.

Vidic coming back won't suddenly make everything better. The are problems collectively and individually with that defence. Even Inzaghi did Rio for pace with his chance from the Ronaldinho pass at 2-3.

Evra deserved the yellow more than Carrick, systematic fouling ffs!

It will help a bit. They looked really nervous last night for some reason, like the occasion got to them.

You'd know all about systematic fouling watching Italian football. :p

It still beats me why Fletcher was playing as the furthest forwards of the three central midfielders. :S

They have been in the last two CL finals and a semi-final, the occassion didn't get to them, well it shouldn't but they gave up a lot of chances without Milan ever looking like creating a whole lot.

I applaud systematic fouling, it's necessary but it also should be punished by a yellow at some point.

Fletcher set up two goals flak, his work rate was very good.

They were nervy in those finals too though. Yeah Milan got at the defence way too easily, all from United being sloppy when they had posession. Just couldn't pass it well at all. Apparently they complained about the pitch when they were training on it the day before the match.

Yeah like the right back dragging Rooney down when the counter attack was on. :p Like I said Evra got away with a lot of those against Young too, he'll keep doing them if the referee keeps letting him. Loved it when the linesman gave a freekick but the referee didn't agree so blew his whistle as soon as the freekick was taken.

Yeah he played well, I was surprised how much roaming him and Park did. I expected Carrick or Scholes to play furthest forwards from the three though.

Got to say, Rooney's first header was a thing of beauty.

Good result yes but i dunno how any Utd fan can be happy with that performance. When a team as bad as Milan p***es all over your midfield like they did in the 1st half there's serious problems.

Every team has performances where they have to be shocked into fast improvement and Man United at least took decent advantage.
