The bad news is that Arsenal travel to Porto without Eduardo, Arshavin, Gallas or Song.
The good news is that I'll-moon-ya also won't be travelling with the squad.
Wenger realises this isn't the FA Cup doesn't he? He's still after 3rd in the league god damn it! :runaway:

Haven't Arsenal played Porto in recent seasons...anybody know the scores?
 they're all injured

my memory for these things is terrible but i know we played them last season, in the groups, i think. They beat us in portugal, we beat them 4-0 in London but i can't remember the score in portugal

I'll let him off then. Just this once mind. <_<

It was 2-0 to Porto apparently. :thumb:

They came from the group with Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and APOEL...Chelsea beat them 1-0 in both group games.

They've obviously come out of a tough group but we should have it about us to be able to see out a draw I should think. Fabregas has the ability to shake off markers but if he doesn't turn up he can be completely shut down on the night. Definitely agree that Diaby can step up here and looking forward to seeing Fabianski do his thing tbh

As bad as Almunia is (and by god he is terrible) I have doubts over Fabianski, he makes too many mistakes imo. He will get better with age most likely

I wouldn't call Almunia terrible, he is fantastic in certain situations and bad in others. Fabianski will make less mistakes with experience as you say.

We lost 2-0 in portugal because we had a young side out because we already qualified.

That is usually the reason for all our shortcomings <_<

We need Lloris or Akineev.
Lloris save against Real last night was incredible, the one where he stuck his right arm out.
