that wasn't where the ref went wrong, he just didn't have a clue at that point. But some of his other decisions were strange, to say the least.

under the section of the rules on signals in the game it doesn't say anything about them having to ask, about permission given or anything to that effect at all.

As I say, I think its just a professional courtesy from the ref to do so but he is not actually obliged to, I would say the refs decision tonight was arrogant and potentially unprofessional but not actually wrong if that makes sense.

he comes on for like 5 mins

trust me you got it wrong, i thought the same about lucas when he wasnt playing for a short period and kept making 20 min appearances but your eyes are deceiving you because of how bad arsenal played

Did the see the referee stand infront of Campbell, and then drop the ball at there feet? What's the point of an indirect freekick, if your allowed to take it before the other team has set up a wall etc, It's easier to score than a penalty.
