Its a culture thing. The italians generally give up on lost causes. Take pirlo for example. Hes played in 3 CL Finals & a world cup final, he has no reason to chase after anybody when the game is up. There is nothing in it for him. Milans problem is they didnt bring in players to replace sheva, crespo, gila, gourcoff or kaka with any quality
surprised you mentioned Gila but agree with the rest. Do Milan have the money cos that can be the only explanation they haven't?
They got £65m for Kaka and £30m for Shevchenko didn't they? Where'd that go? :S

Well gila would still be better than either two forwards tonight ted. I know you have to factor in the coach too. He should never of got the job. Goes against every milan tradition.
The money is the issue ted. Its easy pay a transfer fee but its the wages thats the problem. Milan cant pay multiple €80k a week wages.

Why not? Inter must manage it with their players? :S

Well done on beating the Granda's
Well done on beating a p*** poor Porto side... At least I gave credit where it was deserved without the sly dig.... :cheeky:
The same side you struggled with last year, might I add. :cheeky:

Yeh tbf anyone wd be better than KJH. Why not start with Inzhagi though? Get at least some sort of momentum going with a goal and then take him off?

I thought so, but they need to invest in bringing in some quality Italian players cos they'll stick around and won't want the big wages. Even Luca Toni wd have been a better buy than KJH as well.
always remember you're unique - just like everyone else

Moratti has more money. There is a mis conception about milans buying power. €20m is still their record buy & that was 8/9 years ago. Inter always spent more even in the 90's.
All the transfer fees received recently went into clearing their debt

Must be poorly run if they are losing money like that considering they always do decent in the Champions League? :S

Every top club is in debt. They all spend more than they earn. Look at united and they money the would of lost last year if they didnt sell cr9tm and that was on the back of winning a title the fifa world club and getting to a european cup final.

i thought utd as a team played well, valencia and park worked hard (sh*t that valencia's a strong f**ker) neville did what he had to do on ronaldhinio, and the defence was solid.

hear people saying milan are to old etc (even though scholes/neville/VDS) are not exactly babies, but the fact is "its milan" they are never a pushover and to beat them 4-0 and 7-2 overall is a great result.

Regardless of it being Milan, they were a pushover. Forget reputation, forget the name, you don't beat a team 4-0 without them being, in one way or another, crap.

Great result though, Man United were relaxed and hustled brilliantly at the start - had a few dodgy moments but were still way too much for them. I don't even think the age of Milan players can be an excuse on this occasion. Your own old dudes performed well.
