i think redknapp talks rubbish most of the time, gerrard should and is capable of doing a job in most positions, all he did was take the same approach to each of the positions he played in...a poor one.

had he been up for it and raring to go it wouldnt have mattered where he was imo.

I was wondering if he was hinting that Gerrard had said something to him about not being happy with Rafa. :S

Carrick kept giving the ball away and got caught for Liverpool's goal.

Fletcher gave the ball away far more than Carrick. Carrick applied himself very well and some of his first time round the corner passes were excellent.

 dont know what game you were watching, carrick was cack,he got caught for the goal AGAIN,he bottled out of all the 50/50 tackles AGAIN,and for the biggest part of the game he didnt look like he wanted the ball.
players like scholes are always demanding the ball, carrick looks afraid to have it especialy in the big games.

i did...fletcher won the ball, kuyt went to retrieve it, fletcher get a slight nudge from kuyt, both players went down, fletcher swings with his arm and kicks out at kuyt albeit no contact but the intent was there, ref does nothing.

paul scholes sent off for swinging arm out at xabi alonso 1-2 seasons back and got a straight red.

the ref was dire yesterday and was very lenient towards utd imo.

Im just calling it as it was my man, i know at the end of the day it doesnt matter now as utd won. but the pool fans have good reason to feel aggrieved by the decisions made yesterday.

alas...this is what happens in old toilet football.

the ref was fair and balanced, in fact he was leniant towards us as torres, carragher and masch should have been off (according to them)

what did you make with maxi btw yesterday, with the little cover he gave insua and his poor attacking performance, the selection to use him and so on. considering when babel came on he was pretty good at getting into dangerous areas
