What happened?
The ball came to him, he knocked it up in the air and it dropped behind him into the goal.

To be fair, Arsenal fork around too much. See how Chelsea went and totally destroyed Villa, we've been grinding out results against weaker teams. We don't thrash anyone anymore. We're relying too heavily on midfielders scoring goals. We faff around all game instead of going all out with a bit of urgency. From our performances lately, this was a result that was coming.

Wenger should KNOW by now that Arsenal need to be 2 or 3 goals up to be safe late in the game. Bring on a striker, why is Denilson still on? When it comes to defending, we don't do a good enough job to try and hold on to what we have.
top post.too much flash and not enough substance.
for next season they need a gk,cb,cm,at least 1 winger and a striker.

judging from this season i would say they only need a goal keeper

you got diaby to partner fabregas next season

rvp up front

bendy, eduardo, denilson and campbell are decent back ups, no good player sits on the bench

lfc-19
Will Chelsea and United drop as many points next season though?

Diaby has been on the bench so can't see him in Wenger's plans much tbh.

No reason why not. But what's to say Arsenal won't earn MORE points next season?

Diaby has played much more lately, he's already pushed himself into Wenger's plans quite a bit

Just can't see it tbh, I think Arsenal are playing to their optimum this season. Who is going to step up?

 are you winding me up right now? No one's playing to their optimum, that much is obvious. Arsenal have dropped 12 points to Chelsea and Man United alone with poor performances - nothing about that suggests optimum. Manchester United and Chelsea haven't dropped all their points in one area of the season, points have been dropped throughout the season, suggesting it's not just down to a specific problem.

Genuine question, have you been watching Arsenal lately? They've been quite poor, don't let the results fool you.

The result today agrees with that so I'm not fooled at all :p

 That didn't come out right. I mean Arsenal lack something more than just a goalkeeper like LFC said. There's other things missing too and I just can't see where it's going to come from from the current players.

I seen them against West Ham and Hull and both teams could have taken points off Arsenal.

All three teams have a lot of improving to do. Which is probably why all three teams have dropped a similar amount of points. Man United and Chelsea too could have dropped points against smaller teams - and did, in some cases and for all three teams, injuries can't always be used as an excuse.
Arsenal don't look right upfront and have missed a significant part of their strength yet aren't far off. It's almost as if some people think United and Chelsea have just been poor and Arsenal are having a great season  We're having a better season (wouldn't be hard) but it aint all that.

Can't really understand why Arsenal were expected to win. Birmingham have already shown how good they are at home against Chelsea, Utd and Spurs (the rest of the other current top 4). A little bit of kudos to McLeish and Birmingham needed. A draw today was probably the least unlikely result.

Was watching it very drunk in the city and when Almunia hit it up in the air I was yelling "what a forking save!" jumping all around my mates and then I looked up at the screen again and it said 1-1, I was like

I don't agree that it was all Almunia's fault, I think you are all being harsh, they never should have been allowed to get a shot like that away at that point in the game <_<

drunken cesc11 kissed his title goodbye in the Rosemont at approx 3-30am on Sunday March 28th, 2010.

We finally deserve to win a title and a cheap equaliser undoes the whole challenge FFFFFFFFFFFS

tbh this is why wenger needs to go. no top manager would allow us to go on with such shite in goal. its prob the most important position on the pitch and he continues to fork us over by allowing clowns like almunia to cost us over and over again. id say fair enough if this was a once off but ffs hes been doing it ever since the champs league final where he screwed us out of that trophy. wenger is a forkingg joke
