I just feel that with rvp (a main goal scorer) out for so long, arshavin hasn't been able to show as much versatility as he'd like and he's now bored

But why would RVP being in the team help him as an AM?

i think wenger has made roles more rigid because we don't really have a strong striker - with rvp on the pitch and scoring you'd expect the players to shift about a bit more and arshavin would probably feel the benefits of a bit of experimentation with positions. But he's always playing in the same position, like wenger's too afraid to move anyone around now unless he has to.

very good game, barca could/should have had 4 before half time. almunia was brilliant. then he was not, for all the passing 2 goals over the top from barca.

to keep up the pressure for 60 mins was a good effort by barca arsenal could not get a foothold in the game, but that defense was weak, bentner should have scored that header and diaby had a good chance in the first half. was saying to put walcott on when arshavin went off no one had attacked the fullbacks

barca looked very mediocre after the 60 mins/2nd goal i assume teams in la liga just role over after that point. messi was nothing special either. ibra took both goals very well but should have put the game to bed before half time.

and cescs yellow was never a yellow, but wenger would have probably complained about the tackle after the game if it was on one of his players so you cant get it both ways

Looks like Nasri will take Cesc's spot in midfield in Spain, hes more than capable of doing so IMHO.

diaby was well out of his depth tonight i felt. denilson did impress when he was on as did song in that midfield role(not at CB, at fault for both goals fortunately barca did not create much after that)

bentner needed to be a bit more ambitious at getting into the box a few times he held back and did not really attack the ball fully

Diaby's touch was awful tonight, he did quite well leading up to the first goal though.

the card he got was awful. hes a bloody pro footballer and cant control the ball

clear pen and sending off for Poyul does he actually look at where the ball is??? he got away with so many clumsy things tonight as he does every time i watch him play, if he was not so good at diving he would get in so much more trouble than he does defencivly

and the barca player roled around aswell

how there was only 3 mins at the end when it took poyul atleast 4 mins to walk off as well was beyond me, then you add in the time for cescs treatment and the subs and it was close to 8 mins of time added on
