Sir Alex Ferguson expects Wayne Rooney to be out for two to three weeks. The boss gave this estimate to MUTV in an exclusive interview, prior to Friday's press conference. Referring to the World Cup, he said: "The nation can stop praying now!" At the media briefing itself, Sir Alex said, "We are relieved about Wayne. The diagnosis - no fracture, just ankle ligament damage - is good news, considering how bad it looked. "He is looking at (being out for) two to three weeks so we will have to pick a team without him. But I think there are plenty of goals in the team without Wayne. "Goals will be important because we will need them, particularly against Bayern next Wednesday when we have to turn the tie around." The United boss confirmed that "everyone else who played on Tuesday night is okay." Not only that, but long-term absentees John O'Shea and Owen Hargreaves have been training well enough to be considered for substitute berths against Chelsea and Bayern Munich. "O’Shea and Hargreaves have done lots of work in recent weeks and they are back, they need to be back," said Sir Alex. ”They could feature on the bench, one on Saturday and the other on Wednesday. Including them in the first-team squad is important in boosting their confidence." Hargreaves looks favourite to be in the 18 against Chelsea - he is ineligible for the Champions League as United did not register him for the knock-out rounds. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YESSS!! Going To Make You An Offer You Cant Refuse.

If Carrick plays we will lose IMO. G.Nev needs to be on top of his game as Malouda has been impressive recently. And Evra had better be a lot more game than he was midweek otherwise Anelka will tear him a whole new arsehole. Rio and Vidic had better smash Drogba up aswell, get him sulking early on. |

I can't believe people want a player that has not played a single match this decade to play in such an important game.

Stop being a smart arse. You know what I mean, why the excitement over a player that hasn't even played for so long?
