The final is going to be forking awful this year.
Dont know, Barca v BM could poss be OK. Must be honest, when the draw was orig made, i thought United has such an easy run to final compared with Chelsea/Gooners.
So did I. So did a lot of United fans.

I reckon they'd be celebrating tonight 11 men, or even 10.
I think it was more all of the other fans saying we had 'got an easy route again'.
ye did get an easy route! did u not see how bad bayerns defense is? nearly as bad as arsenals ffs!
:o I wouldn't go that far

Bayern were not that good. There wasn't a difference in quality tonight, not like there was in the Barca - Arsenal games. United gave it away, imo. First leg, they were rubbish. Second leg, they started really well but a lot of their players got rubbish as the game went on.

What screwed United up is that in both legs, they allowed Bayern to get back into the game and Bayern knew they could lose and still qualify.

Second leg was screwed by Rafael being sent off. I fear for the lads safety like RD.

Easier route on paper, but this is the CL isnt it. No easy games in the QF.

Can't really complain about Rafael's 2nd yellow. I remember when he got the first yellow, I thought someone should go up to him and say, that if Utd go out tonight it will be because of stupidity like that from players, to calm down. Roy Keane would have done that.

HOWEVER having said that, if that was a 2nd yellow against Rafael, then it was no different to Van Bommel's challenge in the first half when he pulled a Utd player down. It deserved a 2nd yellow and there is NO WAY Van Bommel should have been on the pitch after that.

Fair play to Bayern if that was Utd doing what they did I'd be proud. As Fergie says, typical forking germans, like a forking machine to the end. But Utd's performance has been as typical over the last year and gradually becoming more and more typical this season. Put in a stormin start but unable to last the distance in matches. They just run out of steam or just don't have the quality. Imo it's the latter.

Well that was shocking.

3-0 up and end up losing it, unreal. How the hell Carrick can miss 70,000 people screaming "man on" is beyond me.

Cracking goal by Robben to win but the way we sat back at 3-1 for that long was pitiful. We really need some investment badly if we are gonna compete at the top, the current squad just isn't good enough. Hopefully we do actually have the funds or the next few seasons will be painful.

Fergie seriously went down in my estimation with his comments at the end. By all means deflect attention from the teams failings but not like that ffs.

I think they would have been pretty comfortable tonight had it not been for the red card. Could see them scoring again anyway and Berbatov would have been on upfront sooner.

What was Carrick even doing marking the player so close to goal for Bayern's first, where did the two centre backs go? :S
